I'm Off On The Adventure

Music video? Short film? Art piece? I'd say all three. I'd also say masterpiece.

I'm gonna let the video do the talking for me. It's absolutely fantastic. DON'T READ ON UNLESS YOU'VE FINISHED THE VIDEO. As some of you may know Kid Cudi is rumoured to have anger issues (hence Mr. Rager), from what I've read this is the basic synopsis: The Cudi in the black jacket is the good one, he's the one we're cheering for. The Cudi in the brown jacket is the bad one. The brown jacket is trying to corrupt/consume the black jacket. The other scary looking doods fighting is Cudi's conscience or his guardians if you will. Black jacket Cudi realizes that the only way to defeat his anger (brown jacket/Mr. Rager) is to kill it himself. He gets snapped back into reality with his counselor calling his name. She can be seen as one of the guardians as well because she is helping him defeat his problem. Other things to note: "oh hey it's Kanye West" at 4:23. Shout to Drew H for showing me this video. He's a good kiddo.

Pretty Much Amazing

They have big heads. Nuff said.

This one comes from one of my most played/favorite duo's, Chiddy Bang. For me this song represents a lot of good memories and good times with my boys. For that reason this one goes out to my boys Songah "sclusvie" and Mitch "Pretty much a manager". Countless nights I've spent with them, and countless nights this song has been playing. So, this one is for them. And I guess for the rest of you as well. For those of you who don't know, it's Wednesday. Which means we're halfway done the week (yeah!). So keep grinding people, the weekend will be here soon enough, and with that, the opportunity to let loose. Until then just jam out to this. Sit back, relax and enjoy. It's Music Video Wednesday!

Remember to like us on Facebook, follow on Twitter and rate/comment below. Keep spreading the word, whether that be by word of mouth, posting this on Facebook, or tweeting it. Keep doing it. I need your help with this, so keep on spreading that seed. I'll be back tomorrow with a throwback track. Until then...

I'm On The Pursuit Of Happiness

"this video is a giant mindfuck" - esteemed YouTube viewer.

You know Kid Cudi is going to deliver something legendary in all the music videos he's in. This, however, will really mess with your mind. Like, it's pretty much the video equivalent of a Where's Waldo, but Waldo's not there. You follow? I'm not going to say much, cause this video's pretty much going to make a web in your mind, and just party there. Probs bring a Winnebago, and set up some bbq supplies and have a party. That's how legendary this is. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. It's Music Video Wednesday!

Remember to like us on Facebook, and follow on Twitter. Keep spreading the word, post on Facebook, tweet about it. Get the word out there. Let's get it going. I'll be back tomorrow with a throwback track (awe yeah). Until then...

We Gonna Set This Party Off Right

My favorite artist, with a song off my favorite album. Beauty!

If you know me you know that I love Kanye West. Just like a fat kid loves cake. Now, this is off his College Dropout which is by far my favorite album. I don't think I've ever heard an album all the way through so many times. Like, lets put it this way, if I was on an island with one album, this would be it. I think I made my point right? I can move on? K. sweet. So here's the music video to his song All Falls Down. The first time I saw it when he looks at his reflection in the mirror and in the car window I was like

Then I was like, "this will do, I quite enjoy this." Also, check out how the acoustics change when he's in the bathroom. Also note Common is in the video. And when Kanye is in the x ray you can see that there is a piece of metal in his jaw. For those of you who don't know Kanye West was in a near fatal car crash that resulted in his jaw having to be wired to his face. You can read more about it here. Now, for those of us who don't have wires in our face I invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy some Kanye. Don't forget to rate/comment below or on Facebook.

Also, a reminder to like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and here on Google. A big welcome to the new people who read this, hopefully you guys enjoy. If you have any suggestions/recommendations feel free to email me. Also, check out my boys at GentleNation they'll hook you up with some illy tunes. And you can also follow them on Twitter. We're just 46 likes away from blogging to begin so keep spreading the word.... again... I'll be back tomorrow with a throwback track. Until then...

Just Drop It

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the songs of the week. I'd like to point out that the first two choices are not selected by myself, rather they are gathered from Billboard Top 100 and MTV top music video. The last choice however, the "fresh pick" if you will, is all me. This pick is not necessarily a song that is new or that is at the top of the charts, rather it is simply the song that I've really been feeling this week and that I've played the most. So, here are the songs.

From MTV's top video we have A Day To Remember's "All Signs Point To Lauderdale"

From Billboard Top 100, the top song this week was Adele's "Rolling in the Deep"

And finally, the moment you've all been waiting for (or just one of you) the fresh pick of the week. This week I've been heavily playing Chiddy Bang's latest mixtape Peanut Butter and Swelly and I've been really reeeally feeling the song "I Can't Stop". It samples Flux Pavillion's song of the same name and the track just goes hard. A nice, yet filthy drop really brings it all together.

As a new little thing, every Saturday there will also be a weekly shoutouts, this week it goes out to, well, it goes out to you guys who read this. However, the big shout outs go to my buddies who promoted my page on Facebook, I'm talking about you Suchs, Sean, Aryan, Linh and of course manager Dave, aka DCar aka CreelmanKid. I wouldn't be able to do this without him, so definately give him a look. I'll see yall again on Monday! Until then...

Stay Fresh,
RG

Also, Peanut Butter and Swelly is available for free download.

A reminder to tell your friends about this and get them to like it on Facebook and so on and so forth.
