I know I personally have been knee deep in midterm season and it still feels as though it will never end. Since it's Friday you guys know that it's time to fell good. The end of the week signals 2 days of carefree living. If you'd had a bad week, it's all good cause it's a new day, soon a new week and before you know it you'll be back on your feet. It may seem as though all hope is lost and things are falling apart (Chinua Achebe anyone?) but as one of my friends has shown me sometimes the destruction of one thing lays down the foundation for something bigger and better (one can only hope). A late night edition of Feel Good Friday.



As I explained in the last post, I've been swamped at work, so that's why this is late. However, this does tie in with my work life. Whenever I complete a sale, this is the song that plays inside my mind. So if you can picture me, dancing to no music, I'm thinking about this song. Ya, the customers think I'm crazy, but whatever. Now that it is officially summer for not only myself, but for high school students as well, we get an opportunity to sit back for a bit and really enjoy the little things. With the end of a school year comes a regained energy and vision. A moment of clarity if you will, where we can put our blunders behind us and focus on relaxation/good times. It seems as though summer is so far away from the beginning of every year, yet it sneaks up on us and leaves before we know. So please please please take a moment and just relax. Take a week off and literally do nothing. You've been working for 10 months straight, now is a time to relax, and refuel. And of course feel good, so, today's Feel Good Friday is a Michael Jackson classic, P.Y.T. This song is the sample used in Kanye West's Good Life (that song will probably make an appearance here sometime). So with the beginning of summer I invite you to sit back, relax, and feel good. It's officially summer. So Will Smith is in order. Nuff said.



Yes, ladies and gentlemen it is officially summer time. So you know what that means, days of not doing anything and just relaxing. So, in honor of summer, and in honor of it being Throwback Thursday I thought I'd pull out a little something special today. I do this because I love you guys. Ladies and gentlemen, the time is here. It is finally Friday, with this day many things come to an end. The end of a stressful week, the end of spring classes, etc. With endings new beginnings/hopes arise. The chance to devote more time to this blog, and the hope that the next week will be better than the last, but not better than the next. As customary on Friday I got you guys a feel good track that will hopefully bring a smile to your face and have you feeling all joyous and jubilant for the weekend. Throwback Thursday? You bet it is!

Now although this song never reached number 1 on any major charts, it definitely reached number 1 in our hearts (this is according to Wikipedia, the hearts thing, well, who the hell doesn't like this song). Fresh song out of 03, it really just added to the duet power of Ashanti and Ja Rule. This song brings back memories of when times where much simpler and where summer wasn't defined by jobs and summer classes. Instead, summer was just a time to hangout all day without any sense of responsibility. Shout out to my boy JDA aka number 91 for reminding me of this track. Yes my people, it is finally Friday, and what better way to start off this musical journey than with a song that I can only understand half of it. An awesome summergy half Spanish/ half Portuguese banger. Ladies and Gentlemen, on this first musical post, I wanted to bring you a little something that would not only make those twelve facial muscles smile, but may also allow a few muscles in the lower calcaneus region to start foot tapping.
